Days at the pace of the land

Experience

Curated journeys into the wilderness, the culture, and the silence of Jawai.

Leopard Safaris

01 · Wilderness

Leopard Safaris

Jawai is one of the only places on earth where leopards live in close proximity to people in mutual respect. At dawn and dusk, our naturalists guide private 4×4 safaris into the boulder country, where each leopard is known by name, lineage and territory.

Rabari Tribe Walks

02 · Culture

Rabari Tribe Walks

Walk with the semi-nomadic Rabari — a community of shepherds, weavers and storytellers who have moved with their herds across these lands for centuries. Visit a hamlet, share chai, and witness a way of life that asks only to be observed, never disturbed.

Star Gazing

03 · Stillness

Star Gazing

When night falls, the sky over Jawai turns to ink. Our resident astronomer hosts private sessions on a granite perch, telescope at hand — the Milky Way arcs overhead, and the world below grows quiet enough to hear itself.

Slow Dining

04 · Repose

Slow Dining

Long, unhurried meals drawn from Marwari traditions — wood-smoke breads, slow stews, foraged greens. Dine in the open pavilion, at a private courtyard table, or on the granite ledge above the lake.

Jawai Dam at Dawn

05 · Wild Water

Jawai Dam at Dawn

A boat at first light across the Jawai dam — flamingos and demoiselle cranes wake the water. Mist hangs low. Coffee is poured from a copper kettle. Few mornings on earth feel so unhurried.

Boulder Bonfires

06 · Fireside

Boulder Bonfires

We end each day at a small fire among the rocks. A glass of something good. Stories told by the local Garasiya guides. The granite, still warm from the sun, holds the heat well into the night.
